People were saying Adrian was a dodge after a few pre-season games I seem to remember as well.
Randolph was scouted by someone that knows a thing or two more than everyone on here about keepers.

People were saying cresswell looked dodgy in preseason last year as well. He turned out ok. We aren't relying on Randolph unless Adrian gets injured so not a massive worry at the moment.

An Argentinian journalist says he flies in Monday to finalise, Lanzini that is.

ioc - Zarate and Lanzini between them will give decent enough cover. Hope Lanzini gets done this week as he looks the mustard... surprised no one else (ie. Spurs) haven't come in to try and nick him.

We are paranoid aren't we.
Probably rightly so.
Need a decent back up, so we don't overuse him. See if Zarate can be that guy.

Being a 55 year old sufferer (sorry I mean supporter), I get the dark thoughts descending now I read about Payet and his outstanding debut.
I foresee him getting a major injury before the season starts or early into it? Its what supporting our club does to you and why I try to protect myself now from my dreams fading and dying yet again ;-)

Be nice if there was a list of suspensions somewhere.
Probably is but I can't find it.

You forgot to tell us not to write off Ogbonna who had a poor game too apparently...

Sounds generally like some great signs but one game against South End does not a season, make good or bad.
Payet sounds like he has picked up where he left off in France long may it continue against stronger opposition. However, lets not write off Randolph yet, he like Cresswell was one of the better players at his position in the Championship the year before joining us.
And please let's not write off the players that played Thursday, they won by the same number of goals and this opposition whether stronger or weaker wanted to play football.

I don't think Payet was registered in time for the Lusitans game. He was only added recently as a banned player...

How can he distance himself, or does he pick the team now?

At least nolan and noble were given a chance to strut their stuff v birk...there was no strutting or stuffing and thankfully they will not start any games of importance.
Noble will have to distance himself from nolan to get in the starting 11 with a midfield based around payet and kouyate.
